Director of Corporate IT

Are you a strategic technology leader with a background in infrastructure, security, and enterprise IT within complex environments?

We’re hiring on behalf of an established and mission-focused R&D and engineering organization that operates in a highly regulated sector, supporting government and national-level initiatives. This is a rare opportunity to step into a Director-level role where you’ll lead enterprise IT strategy and transformation, drive innovation, and align IT services with business-critical outcomes. A background working with government, defense, or public sector contractors would be highly advantageous.

? What you’ll be doing:

  • Defining and delivering IT strategy, infrastructure, and services aligned to business priorities and regulatory compliance.
  • Leading IT operations across enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and real-time collaboration environments.
  • Overseeing secure, scalable network and infrastructure environments (on-prem and cloud).
  • Driving digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement across the IT portfolio.
  • Partnering closely with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with industry standards (e.g., NIST, DFARS).
  • Managing IT governance, architecture, resource planning, budgeting, and vendor engagement.
  • Leading a talented team of engineers, architects, and operational staff.

 

? What we’re looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with strong hands-on and strategic oversight.
  • Deep expertise in infrastructure design, cloud (Azure, AWS), networking, and enterprise services.
  • Experience in architecting and leading secure, compliant environments in regulated industries.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale IT programs and budgets.
  • Strong collaboration skills with an ability to influence at all levels across business and technical teams.
  • Exposure to IT governance, portfolio management, and service design.
  • Relevant certifications (ITIL, CISSP, PMP, etc.) are desirable.
