Job Title: IIoT System Architect

Location: Hybrid - West Midlands
Salary: Up to £85,000 + 15% Bonus

Job Overview: Join the Enterprise Architecture team as an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) System Architect to lead the digital transformation of operational technology. You will design and implement connected environments that enhance sensorisation, data management, and cyber resilience across the Gas Distribution Network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop IIoT architecture to support data-driven decision-making.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align solutions.

• Ensure seamless integration of IT and OT systems.

• Provide technical leadership to product development teams.

• Maintain compliance with industry security regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in IIoT system design and implementation.

• Strong understanding of OT systems (SCADA, PLCs, RTUs) and industrial protocols (Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA).

• Experience in edge computing, cloud integration, and data management.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NCSC CAF, IEC 62443).

• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
