Senior Sales Executive – Technology Consulting

A leading IT consultancy is seeking a strategic, consultative sales leader who thrives in a high-growth, client-focused environment.

Role Overview
As a Senior Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving new business growth while building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in our defined target markets. Using a consultative, insight-driven approach, you will identify opportunities, craft tailored proposals, and lead deals through the full sales cycle to close.

You’ll be selling expert teams of software developers, platform engineers, analysts, UX designers, and product managers. Our work ranges from short discovery workshops to long-term projects, including modernizing legacy systems, building new features, and creating full products.

You will work closely with our Sales Development Representative and Campaign Managers to create and nurture opportunities that lead to meaningful client relationships and successful project deliveries. This role is ideal for a driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for sales and technology.

Location: Hybrid, commutable to Leeds, Manchester, or London (travel to client offices as required)

Salary & Bonus:

  • Base Salary: £70k-£100k

  • Bonus: 2% of all revenue attributable to your contracts, uncapped for the first year of the account.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years proven track record in B2B sales, with at least 2+ years within technology consulting or software development.

  • Ability to build and nurture strong, multi-level relationships with key decision-makers and senior stakeholders, such as CTOs and Heads of Software Engineering.

  • Experience applying consultative solution selling methodologies to drive revenue and close deals.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand business challenges and effectively position value propositions.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead complex sales cycles involving multiple teams.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrates an interest in technology, software development, or consulting and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive New Business Growth – Identify, engage, and qualify prospective clients to expand the company’s client base.

  • Leverage Networks & Partnerships – Utilize existing networks and partner ecosystems to generate new opportunities.

  • Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with marketing, professional services, delivery, and operations to ensure a seamless sales process.

  • Lead the Sales Process – Develop compelling business proposals and navigate complex sales cycles.

  • Represent the Brand – Be a key ambassador, participating in events and supporting sales strategy development.

  • Optimize Sales Strategy – Provide market insights, customer feedback, and recommendations to refine the company’s approach.

  • Maintain CRM & Reporting – Keep internal systems updated with prospect interactions and pipeline progress.
